The Story of the Death of Jayne Wasley

Amycus was too late. There she was, a hand reached out like she wanted help but she was two far and the look in her eyes shown she knew it. He lost one of his closest friends. But in his head, he heard a voice: Buried under the snow around the oak tree is a diary. He wondered if that was the last thing that she managed to do. It hurt, there was like a small, Jayne-sized whole in him. He couldn’t say heart because honestly, he didn’t have one. And she was drowning in this pond. Amycus found he was upset with himself for not coming down sooner but he heard a twig snapped and whirled around to see a guilty looking third year. Amycus raised an eyebrow, and the third year took off in fear.

Looking back down at the water, her white brace that she had to wear because of her arm was finally disappearing. Walking to the oak tree he figured his mind was talking about, he murmured a spell and a shovel was soon appearing. He began to dig around until he found a small black leather diary. He leaned down and picked it up, undoing the clever string that kept it closed.

On the front page it read:

THIS IS THE DIARY OF JAYNE A. WASLEY.

IF YOU HAVE FOUND THIS, IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED IF YOU TURN IT BACK TO ME.

THANK YOU.

Amycus took a seat in the snow and flipped to the second page, the date was the beginning of this year. He laughed lightly at how elegant her hand writing was and how he never noticed.
